THE CATHARIST CHURCH COUNCIL
It can be said that the Catharist church truly originated in this small village, as an organized structure, through a council presided over by representatives of all the Catharist churches of Europe, such as Niceta Bishop of Constantinople and Marco bishop of Lombardy (comprising all of Northern Italy).
"In the year 1167 of the Incarnation of the Lord, in the month of May, the church of Toulouse conducted Pope Nicetas to the castle of San Félix, and a great number of men and women of the church of Toulouse and of all the surrounding churches flocked here to receive the “consolament”, dispensed by Pope Niceta"
